Doreen A. (Canniff) Croke of Scituate, died peacefully at her home with family and friends by her side on Jan. 15, 2011. Doreen was born in Quincy, MA to the late Clarence and Evelyn (Warmington) Canniff and is the sister of James, Fred and Reid Canniff. Doreen graduated from Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA and was a graduate of Catherine Labuore School of Nursing.
Doreen is survived by her husband Paul V. Croke, her four children Paul and his wife Vicki of Halifax MA, Mark and his wife Lisa of Lexington MA, Amy Croke Peters and her husband Scott of Hanover NH, Stephanie Croke Cator and her husband Johnny of Wellesley MA. "Marmee" is also survived by her grandchildren; Benjamin & Thomas Peters, Hannah & Olivia Croke, Ella & Chloe Cator, and Andrew & Nathan Croke.
A long time resident of Scituate, MA, Doreen worked in the Scituate school system as a nurse for over 27 years. Doreen had a passion for life and loved being surrounded by her close friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid skier and spent winters in Killington Vermont. During the summer months Doreen could be seen wading by the shore's edge of Minot Beach, playing golf at Hatherly CC or simply gardening at home. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Visiting hours
Visiting hours will be at the McNamara Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, Tuesday, Jan.18th, 4-8pm.

Service Information
A Funeral Mass will be at St Anthony's Catholic Church, 10 Summer Street, Cohasset, Wednesday, Jan. 19th at 10 am.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate, MA.
