Doris E. (Cowett) Murphy, of Scituate, age 93, passed away on May 3, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John J. Murphy. Loving mother of Kathleen Murphy Nichol of Stockport, NY, Patricia A. Murphy of Marshfield, and the late Michael J. Murphy and his dear surviving wife, Sandra of Sandwich. Grandmother of Carrie Nichol, Alison Calhoun, Ryan Murphy, Chelsea Newcomb and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Linda Mehl Bornstein of Scituate.

Doris' family wishes to thank the caring staff of Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate for their dedicated care of their mother.

Family and Friends invited to a Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 1 pm in St. Mary Cemetery, Scituate. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Doris may be made to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 CJC Hwy, Scituate, MA. 02066
