Duane Derosier, age 68, of Danbury, NH passed unexpectedly on December 25, 2023 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.  Duane was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on October 14, 1955.  son of Robert Derosier and the late Arlene Mae Gale.  Duane graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy, class of 1974 followed by NHTI Berlin. He started his career as a truck driver with Tip Top Bread as a distribution driver later changing to UPS as long haul driver out of MA, retiring after 42 years.  He leaves behind his wife Patty Chaloux, a brother Donald and his wife Anne of Concord NH, his daughter Shanna McNeil and Son Christopher Derosier of Colorado Springs, Step daughters Alayna Coates of Milford MA, Nadine Coates of N. Carolina, Skylor Miller of Laconia NH and Livia Orbin of Sarasota FL. Grandchildren Kaitlin McNeil, Kitana Matteson, Hayden, Macailie, Baylee and Cabrin Coates, Bianca and Lucas Orbin and Xavier and KC Corbin, an aunt Betty Derosier of St. Johnsbury, VT, an Aunt Marilyn (Derosier) and Paul Destroismaisons of Shrewsbury, MA and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Duane is predeceased by his mother Arlene (Gale) Derosier, and his uncle Richard Derosier of St. Johnsbury, VT.

Duane enjoyed everything outdoors, skiing Ragged Mountain with his ski buddy Terry Gregg and giving lessons to hundreds over his career. He was called the Ski Whisperer. Duane loved hunting the many backwoods of Danbury with his best friend Mike Demers, ATV-ing with his retired buddies of the Silver Riders in Berlin NH and fishing with grandsons Xavier and KC.

Duane's presence will be greatly missed but his memories will live on for all who knew and admired him.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring/summer.
