E. Marie Rice- 88 of Newburyport, formerly of Cohasset, died recently on March 30, 2015 after a long illness.  Marie was born in Wakefield.  Following completion of her education, she made a career in drafting.  Working in several large corporations and retiring from United Technologies.
Marie loved sewing and was a proficient seamstress.  She belonged to a sewing guild assisting in organizing fashion shows and taking yearly trips to the New York fabric district.

Marie was the loving wife of the late Richard H. Rice.  She leaves a step daughter, Pamela (Rice) Souther, a step granddaughter Sharon Silvia, her husband Harry Silvia and their twin daughters Shelby and Shannon Silvia, all of Cohasset.
