Edna M Finegan, 99 of Cohasset, Massachusetts, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on December 6, 2024 at the Pat roach hospice, Hingham, Massachusetts. She was born in Hatch End, Pinner, England. she did her bit for England by serving in the Royal Air Force during World War II as a teletype operator.  Edna met and married her husband of 61 years Tony Finegan who was serving in the American Army Corps. in England during World War II. She came to the US as a war bride, first  landing in New York and then moving to Connecticut before settling in Massachusetts.  Edna was a creative and talented seamstress and knitter. In her later years, she was active in her church Saint Anthony's in Cohasset and taught knitting at the local senior center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony and her two sons Michael and Thomas (wife Joyce). She is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Carol Heck, (husband Matthew) of Bonsall, California, and Theresa Dalco (husband John) of Norwell, Massachusetts. She is survived as well by her grandchildren, Timothy Heck, (wife Teresa) and Milynda Heck (and husband Jacob Muzquiz), Tom and Carol Finegan, Aisling Venti (husband, Sam), Soren Dalco, and Jack Dalco.  great grandchildren include Shawn , McKenzie Heck, River and Ireland Muzquiz, and Maylin Finegan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday, December 17 at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home one Summer St., Cohasset from 4 to 7pm. Gap day on Wednesday.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 19 at Saint Anthony's Catholic Parish in Cohasset at 10:30 AM, followed by a gravesite ceremony at Beechwood Cemetery Cohasset, MA. After the graveside ceremony, there will be a reception back at Saint Anthony's Hall, Cohasset, MA.
