Edward W. (Ted) Pyne, age 70, of Norwell passed away on February 2, 2014.  Beloved husband of JoAnne (Ansaldi) Pyne.   Survived by son Ted Pyne III and wife Phoebe Conant of Acton, and their children Ted Pyne IV and Emily, and by daughter Jennifer and husband Andrew Sage of Norwell, and their children David, Conor and Ciara. Ted is also survived by his brother, John J. ("Jack") Pyne of Scituate, sister Eleanor ("Peppy") Morley of Abington, and brother Richard ("Ricky") Pyne of Scituate. Predeceased by his sister Nancy Barry of North Conway, NH.

The family would like to particularly thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Yawkey Cancer Center and the 9th Floor Lunder Medical Oncology Unit at MGH, Dr. Vicky Jackson and the Palliative Care Unit at MGH, and the people of Norwell Visiting Nurses Association for their treatment, advice, care and support over the last few months.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 10am at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA. Visiting Hours Friday, February 7th from 4-7pm at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, MA. Interment Church Hill Cemetery, Norwell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Edward Pyne to the MGH Palliative Care Division, 100 Cambridge Street, Suite 1310, Boston, MA 02114 (Attn: Allyson Ramsey) or to the Norwell VNA & Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
