Edwin J. Boyce, age 81, of Norwell, formerly of Charlestown, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on November 14, 2012 after a long battle from Parkinson's Disease. Edwin was the beloved husband of 60 years to Cecile C. (Bean), his childhood sweetheart, and the proud father of Kevin M. Boyce and his wife, Clare of Canton. He was the loving grandfather of Trevor and Cameron Boyce.

Mr. Boyce served his country as a Corporal in the US Army during Korea, as a photographer. He worked for many years as a photo engraver for all of the Boston Newspapers and before retirement was a manager for Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham.

Relatives and friends invited to visiting hours on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 from 1-5 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. A Private Funeral Service to be held on Monday, followed by a private interment at Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Edwin may be made to the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, NY NY 10163-4777.
