Eileen G. (Frazier) Rose, age 89, of Norwell, passed away after a long battle with cancer on April 9, 2013. Born on Feb. 29, 1924 in Wellfleet, MA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie (Adams) Frazier. Eileen was married to the love of her life on June 26, 1943, the late John A. Rose, III. She was the beloved mother of Ronald Rose of Florida and Kathy Mahoney of Carver. She is the adored grandmother of Carrie (Mahoney) Doughty and husband, Matthew of Maine and Jamie Mahoney and fiancé Michael Schmidt of Pembroke, as well as three great grandchildren, or "her hot tickets" as Eileen called them, Madison, Catherine, and Colin also of Maine. She was the loving sister of Florence Carter of GA. and the late Clarence Frazier.
Eileen was a spunky, fun and independent woman, whose laugh was contagious. She was a fast talker and an even faster walker. She was an avid conversationalist and loved spending much of her time with her pals at the Norwell Council on Aging.
A Private graveside service will be held on June 26th which would have been Eileen and Johns 70th wedding anniversary. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Eileen may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 55 Anna's Place, Dedham, MA. or the M.S.P.C.A., 350 S. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA.
