Elizabeth T. Longo, 99, formerly of Cohasset, MA passed away on her birthday, January 21, 2025 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center in Manchester, NH. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Louis Longo.

Born in Cohasset, MA in 1926 Betty was the daughter of Antonio Mello and Laura (Antoine) Mello. She graduated from Cohasset High School in 1943 and married Louis Longo, her high school sweetheart in 1947. Although she spent many years as a homemaker after having her two children, she also enjoyed several years as a part time teacher's aid at Deer Hill Elementary School. She enjoyed baking, knitting, playing Bingo with friends and trips to Foxwoods Casino.

Betty is survived by her sons John Longo of Charlotte, NC and his wife Joanne, James Longo of Londonderry, NH and his wife Jeanne, and her sister Eileen (Mello) Tyeryar of Cohasset. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sarah (Longo) Gross and her husband Brad, Theresa Longo, Megan (Longo) Coppedge and her husband, Kevin, Larry Longo and his wife, Taylor and Gemma Longo. Betty also leaves behind her precious great grandchildren, Caden Gross, Bash Gross, Delaney Coppedge, Evie Coppedge and Siena Longo.

She was predeceased by her sisters Angelina Garrett, Mary M. Grassie, Ida M. Fornier and brothers Augustine Mello, John Mello and Francis Mello.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11am in the St. Anthony of Padua Church-2 Summer Street, Cohasset. Visitation will be held prior to Mass from 9:30am-10:45am at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home-1 Summer Street, Cohasset (directly across from the church). Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
