Ellen "Penny" M. (Litchfield) Whittaker, of Scituate, MA passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, after a short illness.  In her final days, she was in the presence of her loving sister and lifelong friend, Nancy Bresnahan.  Their bond, as Litchfield sisters, remained unbreakable throughout their lifetimes.  Penny was a lifelong resident of Scituate, having grown up there with Nancy and their mother, Lucille Litchfield.  Penny had a long career in banking and worked in Scituate as the Branch Manager for Rockland Trust as well as Head Teller for Scituate Federal Bank.  She enjoyed football, & especially NASCAR, traveling to different races around the country, and was an avid animal lover throughout her life.
