Ellen (O'Leary) Winn, of Cohasset, passed away on April 10, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Herbert L. Winn; loving mother of Mary Ellen Winn and partner Peter Miles of Scituate, Carol Zyrkowski and husband Tim of Hingham, Brenda Brassard and husband Claude of Scituate, Christopher Winn and wife Laura of Scituate and Jennifer Winn  of Wrentham.  Grandmother of Brian, Ellen and Kevin Zyrkowski; Hannah, Evan, Alex and David Winn; John Claude and Gabrielle Brassard. Daughter of the late Thomas P. and Marian (Perry) O'Leary of Dorchester; sister of Thomas F. O'Leary of Norwood, the late Robert P. O'Leary of Norwood, and the late Marian C. Atkinson of Cohasset. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ellen grew up in Dorchester where she was a communicant of St. Brendan's Parish until 1969. After moving and raising her family in Cohasset, she worked for many years at the South Shore Art Center and for 20 years in the Cohasset Selectmen's office. For most of her life she was an avid, daily walker who enjoyed getting to most of her destinations on foot. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, devoted to her family, who approached life selflessly and took great strength and courage from her faith in God. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Thursday, April 14 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Private Interment, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
