Erik T. Stuart, beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle, 44, of Norwell, MA passed on February 22, 2026.
Born on September 25, 1981 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Maija (Ravins) Stuart, Erik was the younger of two children. He graduated from Syracuse University in 2003 and went on to have a successful career in software development at various financial services companies, most recently at Ultimus Leverpoint.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Cara (MacDonald); mother Maija; sister Lora Inciardi and her husband Michael of Wayne, NJ; his beloved nieces and nephews, Deanna and Andrew Inciardi, Alexander and Emma Bartashevich, and Michael Anagnos, Jr.; mother and father-in-law Donna and Michael MacDonald; and brother-in-law Thomas MacDonald. He is predeceased by his father George. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and the many close friends whom he and Cara considered family.
Erik was a gentle giant who lit up every room he walked into with an easy demeanor and a smile. He loved all things sports and was a passionate New York Football Giants, New York Mets, and Boston Bruins fan. He was a caring and integral part of the Silver Brook community, serving on the board of the Homeowners Association since 2016. He enjoyed a beer – especially an IPA – with friends and family while grilling or smoking meats. Erik met the love of his life, Cara, through mutual friends, and the two went on to build a beautiful life together — one filled with travel, adventure, their beloved goldendoodles Stewie and Vivi, and the many dear friends they came to call family.
Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, March 3rd immediately following visiting hours at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central Street Norwell, MA.
