Ernest J. (Hot) Sullivan, age 89, of Cohasset, passed away on January 16, 2015. Born and raised in Cohasset, he was the son of the late Michael J. "Hot" and Elsie M. Sullivan. Hot was a graduate of Cohasset High School. He was veteran of WW II, serving in the US Navy. Hot was a career firefighter in the Town of Cohasset. Working three jobs, he could be found painting homes and buildings with his fellow firemen. He was an avid Boston sports fan and true family man. After retiring from the fire department, Hot worked as a bartender for over 30 years at the Cohasset Yacht Club and private parties, as well as greeting friends and families at the door of McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home to help them through the tough times.

Hot was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne M. (McGowan) Sullivan and the devoted father of Michael Sullivan of Cohasset and Maureen Harrold and her husband Dean of Cohasset. He was the loving grandfather of Hannah and Brendan Sullivan, both of Kingston and the brother of the late Frederick Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of His Life will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Monday, January 19, 2015 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Interment Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset
