Florence Audrey (Hickey) Reidy

Audrey (89) died on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving children. Audrey was married for over 67 years to the love of her life, the late John David Reidy, Jr.  Audrey was born June 28, 1936 in Wakefield, MA.

Audrey was a graduate of St. Joseph School and Wakefield High School. She was also a graduate of Children's Hospital School of Nursing. After marriage and four children she enrolled in Boston University's School of Nursing earning a bachelor's degree.

Along with having six children, Audrey earned her master's degree and  became a licensed Nurse Practitioner.  Audrey  specialized initially in  pediatrics and later geriatrics.

Audrey was an instructor at Quincy  School of Nursing and later as a nurse practitioner in Occupational Health Services at QMC.

Audrey was mother to six children, grandmother of eighteen grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Audrey was a member of the Scituate Council on Aging. She was an active member in the Senior Center activities. She was an avid sports fan and dedicated supporter of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Her favorite place to be was the beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Sunday, September 14 at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. Cohasset from 4-7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 15 beginning at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will be at the Cudworth Cemetery in Scituate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Scituate Senior Center or Scituate Community Christmas.
