Francis A. Evans, age 86, of Cohasset, passed away peacefully with family on March 11, 2013. Beloved husband for 63 years of Anne F. (McKenna) and devoted father of Jane Goff and husband Edward of Cohasset, Francis J. Evans and wife Lisa of Marblehead, Anne McMenamy and husband Dennis of North Easton, Rosemary O'Connell and husband Michael of Cohasset,  Priscilla Sullivan and husband, Stephen of   Cohasset, Lawrence M. Evans and wife Darilynn of Cohasset, Richard A. Evans and wife Lisa of  Cohasset. Adoring grandfather of Priscilla, Courtney, Ted, Sarah, Grace, Lilly, Dennis, Michael, Kristen, Greg, Matthew, Adrienne, Kerry, Andy, Corey, Marissa, Geoff, Alex, Caroline, Brooke and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. Evans was the owner, for over 40 years, of the Frank Evans Co., now known as  Evans Home Improvement Co. He was a graduate of Boston English High School, Class of 1944, Suffolk Univ., Class of 1950, and Boston State College, Master's Degree, Class of 1953. He was veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy. Mr. Evans was a member of the Quincy Lions Club, Neighborhood Club of Quincy, and Cohasset Golf Club. He generously sponsored numerous youth athletic teams in both Quincy and Cohasset.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 3-7 pm in St. Anthony Parish Center, 10 Summer St., Cohasset, MA. 02025. Interment Private.
