Francis J. Mitchell, age 88, of Cohasset, passed away on March 3, 2015 at the Harbor House in Hingham. Husband of the late Ruth (Southworth) Mitchell, Fran was the loving father of Paul Mitchell and wife Jane of Hingham, Brian Mitchell and wife Linda of Alton Bay, NH. and Judith Cowing of Cohasset. He was the brother of Eileen and Brother in law of Stewart Sargent of Kinston, and brother of the late Barbara, Kenneth and Russell. Grandfather to 7 grand children and Great Grand father to 5 great grand children.

Mr. Mitchell was the owner and operator of Mitchell's Repair Shop in Cohasset for 42 years. He was a member and Past Master of the Konahasset Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Lyons Club and the Cohasset VFW. Francis served in the US Army  in the Pacific from Jan. 1945 - Nov. 1946 and was a veteran of World War II.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 8th. 2015 from 2-5 pm in McNamara-Sparell Funeral Home, 160 S. Main St. (off Summer St., across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. A Funeral service will be held during the visitation on Sunday at 4:30 pm, Interment Private. There will be a post Funeral Service reception held at the Beechwood Congregational Church on Summer Street in Cohasset following the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Konahasset Masonic Lodge Relief Fund, 7 Brook St., Cohasset, MA. 02025.
