Frank Burns Falvey (Red), born 8/30/1930, passed peacefully surrounded by his family in his home in Scituate, Ma. on July 21, 2024. He was the son of Walter and Mary Falvey of Belmont, Ma. and the loving husband to Ann Pontefract Falvey, deceased in 2009
Survived by two children and six grandchildren: Karen Falvey of Duxbury Ma. Karen three children Brandon, Alexandra of Ma. and Lilly of Duxbury, Ma.
Frank B Falvey Jr and his wife Susan Ritvo Falvey of Boynton Beach FL. Frank Jr.'s (Biff) children: Nicole Falvey, Michael Falvey, and his wife Melissa Greene Falvey (Missy) and their 3 children Summer, Brian, and Christopher. Sarah Falvey Ferriter and her husband Ryan and their daughter Hailey.
Frank was a kind, loving and generous husband, father, and grandfather. Frank attended both Boston College High School and Boston College where he excelled in hockey and Business Management. He was a Naval officer and was stationed to a transport ship carrying troops from USA to Germany and back. Frank is a legacy is his industry starting Falvey Steel Casting In 1961. He worked till he was 91. He was always a fair and honest businessman. Working hard and taking care of his employees was always a given. He loved golf he was a lifetime member at Hatherly Country Club in Scituate and boating. His love for golf and boats was something his dad passed down to him. Frank will always be remembered by his big smile and a few quotes. 1) We don't know how lucky we are. (Which he said every time we got together as a family) 2) If you don't have something good to say then don't say it. 3) If you asked him how he was doing or feeling, he would say I'm vertical aren't I. 4) AMEN
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9am-10:45 am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer Street, Cohasset, MA. 02025 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, 2 Summer St., Cohasset, MA. 02025 at 11 am. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate.
