Fred Clifton Blossom, II, age 81, of Scituate, formerly of Cohasset, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 23, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Diane (Decker) and loving father of Ruth M. Parker of Scituate and Frederick "Rick" Blossom of Albany, NY. Grandfather of  Daniel Blossom of Albany, NY, Daryl Keith Parker and Michael Allen Parker, both of Woonsocket, RI. & Nicholas Sean Parker of Oxford, MA. Brother of Carolyn Lavange of Abington. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Cohasset, Mr. Blossom was an Eagle Scout and served in the US Army during Korea. He was a graduate of the Univ. of Massachusetts, Class of 1960 and was employed for his entire career with the US Government as a Fish and Wildlife Officer, retiring in 1994.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 2 pm in Second Congregational Church, 43 Highland Ave., Cohasset, MA. 02025. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Fred may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scouts, Troop28 Cohasset, Attn Phil Lehr, 306 No. Main St., Cohasset, MA. 02025.
