Frederick "Ted"  W. Spargo, age 79, of Norwell, passed away after a brief illness on November 11, 2014. Beloved husband of Jacqueline L. (Hersey) Spargo and devoted father of Curtis W. Spargo and wife Anne of Grafton, Linda L. Guay and husband Kevin of Brookline, NH, and Craig G. Spargo of Norwell. Brother of James A. Spargo of Omaha, NE. Adoring grandfather of Meghan and Evan Spargo.

Mr. Spargo was a longtime employee of GTE and a member of the Hilltop Athletics Assoc.. He loved camping and spent many summers at Pinewood Lodge where he was known as the "Mayor of Pinewood" His hobbies were horse shoes, gardening and cross stitching.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Visiting hours Friday Nov. 14 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Norwell Center. Interment Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
