Freeman C. Chase, age 84, of Scituate, formerly of Hingham, Nantucket and Cohasset  passed away on August 5, 2012. Freeman was pre-deceased by his wife Barbara Rich Chase and the beloved husband of Lucretia (Campagno) Chase. He was the devoted father of: Linda Chase of Vermont, Clark Chase of Cohasset, Cindy Phillips and her husband Michael Phillips of Nantucket and Clifford Chase of Scituate. He was the Grandfather to 17 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Chase was a graduate of Thayer Academy, a Sergeant in the US Army and he was in the Food Brokerage Business for 45 years and the owner of Chase, Kolbin, and Allen Co.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:30 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours omitted. Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Freeman's memory may be made to the Glastonbury Abbey, 16 Hull St., Hingham, MA. 02043.
