George Kostas Roukounakis

George Roukounakis, 75 of Cohasset, MA for 48 years passed away on August 18th, 2026 after a long illness.

Born in Heraklion, Crete, Greece in 1950 and second son of the late Konstantinos and Eleni Roukounakis.

Devoted father to Kostas Roukounakis and his wife Jean of Pembroke, MA and Lena Sullivan and her husband Casey of Hanson, MA. Dear brother of Michalis (Michael), Panagiotis (Peter) and Belia, his sister. Loving Grandfather to Nick and Sophia Roukounakis.

He was a certified mechanic who owned the Olympic Texaco/Citgo gas station in Cohasset Village for 35 years. Most of Cohasset fondly knew him as George. He loved playing soccer and played professionally for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026 from 9-10am at the Panagia Greek Orthodox Church-811 Jerusalem Road, Cohasset, MA. Funeral Services will follow from 10-11am at the church. Interment to follow at Central Cemetery at Joy Place in Cohasset, MA. All are welcome.
