George Albert Strachan, Jr., age 64, of Hanover, formerly of Norwell, died suddenly  in an auto accident  on July 6, 2013.  George was the son of the late George A. Strachan, Sr.  He is survived by his devoted mother Eva E. (Charbonneau) Strachan of Hanover. Loving father of Rebecca MacDonald, Genna Strachan and Daniel McElmen.  Proud grandfather of Olivia (Strachan) Harbert, Georgia MacDonald and Ethan Hutler. Dear brother of Peg Harbert, Donna Foulsham, Wendy DeBoer and life time family friend Evajune White.  Also survived by Aunt Jeannette (Strachan) Brizick, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

George was a graduate of Norfolk Agricultural High School and UMass – Stockbridge.  Formerly and perhaps best, George was known as a local tree surgeon/landscaper.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, July 13 ^th at 11 am at the Church Hill United Methodist Church, River St., Norwell, MA.  A Collation at the Fellowship Hall will follow. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hanover Food Pantry.
