Gerard Andrew Conte, age 85, a lifelong resident of Cohasset, passed away on August 16, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lucille (Sylvester) Conte. He was the son of the late Philomena (Sciallo) Conte and Carlo Conte of Cohasset. He was loving grandfather of Meredith Bergeron of Canaan NH, Stephanie Letts of Holden and Daniel J. Sullivan IV of Colorado Springs CO; great-grandfather to Charlotte, Andrew, Daniel V, Sullivan, Eleanor, Nolan and Jack. He was the loving brother of Rosalie Kowalski, twin sister Barbara E. Conte and the late Vito and Carmelo Conte. Gerard also leaves many nieces and nephews. Gerard served in the U.S. Air Force during the time of the Korean War. Upon his return home from the service, he worked at D.S. Kennedy Antenna in Cohasset. For 42 years, Gerard enjoyed a career as a postal carrier in Cohasset until his retirement in 2003. A graveside service will be held at Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 21.
