Gerard J. "Jerry" Moore, age 45, of Norwell, passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2013. Loving husband of Anna C. (Cataldo) and devoted father of Alison and Siobhan Moore of Norwell, Jerry was the son of the late William J. and Mary A. (Callahan) Moore. He was the brother of Marianne Moore and husband Warren Frank of Roslindale, Eileen Edmunds and husband Arthur "Rick" of Groton, MA., Ruth Moore of West Roxbury, and William Moore and wife Karen of Chelmsford. Jerry was the son in law of Anna Cataldo of West Palm Beach, FL and the brother in law of Maryanne Cataldo and Elissa McCarthy both of West Roxbury and Paul Cataldo of Middleboro. Survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jerry was a graduate of Catholic Memorial and North Adams State Univ. He was a longtime employee as a Sales Supervisor for Burke Distributors. Jerry coached and was a board member of the Norwell Girls' Softball Program as well as a member of the Norwell Boosters and Norwell Men's Softball.

A Funeral From the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington Street, (Rt.53) Norwell. Visiting hours Friday, Aug. 2 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Norwell. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry's honor may be made to Norwell Athletic Boosters, 18 South St., Norwell, MA. 02061.
