Gloria T. (McCarthy) Logue, 85, of Hingham peacefully returned to our heavenly Father surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Aubrey F. Logue of Dorchester, her beloved daughter Ellen M. Donze of Marshfield and also by her parents Felix D. McCarthy and Margret M. McCarthy of North Quincy.  Gloria is survived by her loving sons Paul F. Logue of Scituate and his wife Maureen; and John A. Logue of Westerville, Ohio, and his wife Susan; adored and cherished grandchildren, Paul, Kaelin, Aubrey and John. Cousin Jay McCarthy of Milton.

Gloria was born on January 29, 1931 in Marblehead, MA, after her parents moved there from Newfoundland, Canada.  Raised in Quincy, she graduated from North Quincy High and served as the head cheerleader during her high school years. After the passing of her husband the family moved to Marshfield. Known for her attention to detail, enthusiasm, and welcoming nature, Gloria was an accomplished restauranteur with milestone restaurants: The Bridgwaye Inn, Pier 44, Hugo's Lighthouse and Compass Rose. She touched a lot of people in her lifetime and her generous heart made her truly one of a kind. Gloria was a devoted Catholic, passionate Patriots fan and was incapable of turning down an opportunity to grace the dance floor. She enjoyed reading a good book at the beach, staying active with friends and planning the next event.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor. Visiting hours Thursday, March 10 from 4-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Interment Private.
