Harold E. Coughlin of Cohasset, 78, Peacefully on January 1, 2012. Born in Boston to Harold Coughlin, Sr and Mary Carolyn Gale. He attended Rivers Country Day and The Edith Baker Schools while living in Brookline.  He moved to Cohasset and graduated from Cohasset High in 1952. He married his high school sweetheart Elinor Keegan in 1953 and joined the Air Force for 4 years of service. He worked at DS Kennedy while attending The Art Institute of Boston and graduated in 1960. In 1971 he started his own business Design Group of Boston where he serviced many well know clients in Boston for over 30 years. He moved his business to Cohasset and became involved in the design and layout of the Cohasset Town History books. He was also instrumental in putting together the DS Kennedy exhibit that was on display at the Historical Society. He was an avid HAM radio operator (WA1J) and was involved in the MEMA communications for the town of Cohasset.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elinor Keegan, his beloved daughter Donna, son Scott and his wife Eleanor. He was the loving grandfather to Kelsey and Prescott. Brother to Peter Wood and the late Fred Wood, Carolyn Fox and the late Marion Wilson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 11 - 1 with the funeral service immediately following at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family as requested donations be made to The Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA. 02472.
