Helen M. (Lynch) Smith, of Weymouth, and Norwell, age 98, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John L. McDonough and the late Robert L. Smith. Devoted mother of Marjorie E. Kearns and her late husband Thomas F. Kearns of Braintree, Janice W. Curtis-Damstra of East Weymouth and her late husband Lawrence Curtis and the late George E. Damstra, and Helen L. Baker and her husband Neil W. Baker of East Weymouth. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:30 am in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1199 Commercial Street, East Weymouth, MA. 02189. Visiting hours Wednesday, March 19 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center.
