ISABELLE A. McDERMOTT, Age 95, a long-time resident of Scituate, passed away at the Royal Braintree Rehabilitation Center in Braintree on July 21, 2021.  She is survived by three nephews:  Stephen Daly, of Boston; John Daly, of Washington, D.C.; and Michael McDermott, of Los Angeles, California.

Isabelle grew up in Jamaica Plain, attending Jamaica Plain High School and the Katherine Gibbs College in Boston.  She had a long career as administrative assistant to some of the top executives at leading Boston hospitals, and to a Dean at Harvard Medical School.  Friends and family will remember her for her poetry, of which she compiled two excellent volumes, and for her love of animals, particularly her own beloved dogs.

Isabelle's life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Nativity in Scituate, at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021 .  The family will receive visitors at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (Across from St Anthony Church), Cohasset, from 3-5 pm on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
