J. Thomas Sheehan, age 79, of Scituate, passed away on May 11, 2014. Devoted  husband of Joyce O'Brien Sheehan, whom he married on August 25, 1956. Loving father of Jill Bagby and husband Rick of Marshfield; Madeline Martin and husband Chris of Hingham;  Tom Sheehan and wife SueAnn of Wellesley; Ted Sheehan and partner Noelle of Fayston VT. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren. Beloved brother of David Sheehan and his wife Marilyn of Denver CO.;  Larry Sheehan and his late wife Carol Sheehan of Ashfield MA.; Cathy Bauer of Brooklyn NY. Brother in law of Jim O'Brien. Son of the late Albert and Helen Sheehan of Hamden CT.

Mr. Sheehan had a long career in retail business including the last 10 wonderful years with DeScenza Diamonds. Tom was a longtime member of Hatherly Country Club, N. Scituate MA. He was a proud graduate of Fairfield University class of 1956.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate Harbor. Visiting hours Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Interment Union Cemetery, Scituate. In lieu of flowers send donations in his name to South Shore Hospital, 55 Fogg Rd, S. Weymouth, MA 02190.
