Jacqueline L. Spargo

Jacqueline L. (Hersey) Spargo died peacefully at home on Friday, June 19th, 2026. She was 87 years old. She was born in Milton in 1934. Daughter of Dr. Earl G. Hersey and Dorothy Hersey (Jenkins). She was known by those close to her as Jackie. Jackie was able to spend her time at home with her independence and loved her TV shows for sports, learning and entertainment. She also loved her time reading novels. She looked forward to time spent with her daughter Linda and her dogs Kenzi and Dyson, who looked out for her and visits from her son Curtis and his family.

Jackie was predeceased by her sister Joan Meyer of Taylorville, IL and Donald Hersey of Bucksport ME. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Spargo and her son Craig Spargo.

She is survived by her sister Alison Henderson of Mattapoisett MA. She is survived by her son Curtis Spargo and his wife Anne Spargo of Grafton MA and her grandchildren Meghan and Evan. She is also survived by her daughter Linda Guay and her husband Kevin Guay and their dogs Kenzi and Dyson of Brookline NH.

Visitation will be held in her honor on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 5-7pm at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home-30 Central Street, Norwell, MA. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27 at 11am at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, Norwell. Rev. Donna Cunio officiating. Interment at Washington Street Cemetery, Norwell.
