McGrail, James F. "Jim"- of West Yarmouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sept. 7, 2010. Loving husband of Linda Griffiths, devoted father and best friend of James M. McGrail and his wife, Carly (Smith) of Dennis. Son of Marie (Morrissy) and the late Stephen McGrail of Scituate. Jim also leaves with loving memories, his brother Dr. Stephen McGrail (Pat) of Dennis, his sisters Patricia McGrail of Scituate, Kathleen Keddy (Jim) of West Springfield, Maureen Gomes (David) of Hanover, and Jeanne O'Connell (Michael) of Hingham. Also, longtime special friend Janine Davies and a large circle of relatives and friends throughout Cape Cod , the US, and Canada. Jim was a graduate of Scituate High School (Class of 1976 ) and attended Salem State College. A Member of the Cape Cod Art Association, Jim was an award winning photographer with much of his inspiration coming from the calming shores of Cape Cod and the vast rugged coastlines of the far north. Jim's works are on display throughout New England and Canada. He was an avid outdoorsman and Owner of Cape Cod Solar Systems and Mid Cape Small Jobs Construction.

Visiting hours Sunday, Sept. 12th from 4-7pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset.

Service Information

A Funeral Mass and a celebration of his life will be held on Monday, Sept. 13th, at 11 am in St. Mary of the Nativity, Scituate Harbor.

Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate.
