Obituary

Jeanne (Jeannet) Visser died unexpectedly on March 27th at her home in
Norwell.

Jeannet was born in the Netherlands in 1925 and immigrated to the United
States in 1947.

She was deeply loved by her husband, Willem (Pim) Visser, to whom she was
happily married for 65 years. She will also be deeply missed by her 3 children
& their spouses: Marjorie and Michael Correia of Norfolk, MA, Carol Brigham
of Coventry, CT, & Robert and Karen Visser of Pembroke, MA as well as her
4 grandchildren and their spouses: Ken and Kristen Brigham, Jennifer & Matt
Myshrall, Adam Correia & Cassandra Scarpino, and Eric Visser. She also has
2 great-grandchildren: Griffin & Rowynn Myshrall. Additionally Jeannet will
certainly be missed by her sister, Joes Gerretsen, and other family and friends
who live in the Netherlands.

While her children were growing up Jeannet gave private flute lessons at home,
and then later partnered with Pim in making their custom drapery business, The
Steppingstone, a great success. She was an active member of the Church Hill
United Methodist Church and volunteered in the Norwell Food Pantry for many
years. Jeannet was an avid walker and swimmer and enjoyed vacationing each
summer at Little Sebago Lake in Maine with the entire family. She also loved
reading and classical music.

A memorial service will be held at the Church Hill United Methodist Church in
Norwell at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 6th, and a reception will follow at the
church fellowship hall. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may
be made to the Church Hill Methodist Church which was such an important part
of her life or to the Norwell Food Pantry.
