Obituary

Jeffrey C. Bryant, 53, of Norwell, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, after a long illness.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Ridgley Bryant; his son, AJ Bryant and spouse Erin Mietus; his sister, Saadia Bryant and husband Sean Foley; his stepsons, Jason A. Ridgley and Eliezer Vazquez , many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, Jack D. Bryant and Vernita W. Bryant.

A graduate of Cohasset High School, Jeff was a standout basketball and baseball player who carried his competitive spirit and team-first attitude throughout his life. He went on to attend the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Jeff began his career as a structural designer before moving into the construction field. In 2006, he joined Bryant Associates, the engineering and surveying firm founded by his father in 1976. As CEO for nearly two decades, Jeff guided the company's multidisciplinary operations with passion, integrity, and dedication.

He was deeply engaged in the professional community. Jeff was a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, where he participated in the Transportation Agencies Liaison Committee. He was also active in the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials and the Construction Management Association of America, and he served as a Director for the Boston Post of the Society of American Military Engineers.

Outside of work, Jeff was a devoted sports fan. He loved attending New England Patriots and Boston Celtics games, but his greatest passion was cheering for his beloved University of Michigan football and basketball teams. He also cherished time at the beach, where he found happiness in the ocean air and the steady rhythm of the waves. At home, Jeff was known for his skill at the grill, his quick humor, and his ability to make others feel welcome and cared for.

Above all, Jeff will be remembered for his resiliency, kindness, and big heart. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength.
