Jeffrey Thomas Prouty, age 28, of Hanover, formerly of Scituate, passed away suddenly on November 9, 2012. Jeffrey was the loving son of Kathryn (Anderson) Prouty of Scituate and Robert L. Prouty of Winthrop, formerly of Bridgewater. He was the beloved brother of Michael Prouty and Cameron Prouty both of Scituate. Beloved grandson of Nancy Anderson and the late Thomas Anderson and the late Joseph Prouty and Dorothy (Prouty) Johnson. Proud uncle of Matthew Prouty. Also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and loyal dog and companion, Artie.

Jeffrey was a graduate of Scituate High School, Class of 2002 and worked for the family owned transportation business, JMC Transportation, as Operations Manager.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10 am in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate Harbor. Visiting hours Friday, November 16, 2012 from 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Scituate.
