Joan McConnell Fitzpatrick, 90, of Scituate MA, wife of the late James J. Fitzpatrick, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 17th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Marjory and Harold "Pat" McConnell of Glens Falls, NY.  She graduated from Glens Falls High School '46, and College of New Rochelle '50. Joan served as President of the Scituate Garden Club, CCD Teacher at St. Francis Church, and longtime member of the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club and Hatherly Country Club.

A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Joan is survived by

daughters Polly Fish and husband Gregory, the late Katharine (Kate) Fitzpatrick, Joan Fitzpatrick, Nancy Friedman  and husband David, sons James Fitzpatrick Jr. and wife Sally, and Peter Fitzpatrick and wife Ellen; her twelve grandchildren, Alexander Fish and his wife Mary, Amanda Fish, Lucy Ramseyer and her husband Logan, Audrey Fitzpatrick, Kiely, David, and Jack Turgeon and his wife Mary; Sam and Anna Friedman; Peter, Caroline, and Charlotte Fitzpatrick, and great grandchildren Teddy, Royce, and Guy Fish.

Visiting Hours will be held at McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home in Cohasset on Thursday, June 21st, from 3:00 to 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 10:00AM at St. Anthony Parish in Cohasset. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Scituate.
