Johanna Loubser Barbuto passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest and son Dirk. She is survived by her daughters Heather Wakelin of Abu Dhabi, UAE, Carrie Nissi of Bradford, Mass., Jody Bowskill of Belfast, ME and six grandchildren.

Jo was a licensed physical therapist for many years before entering the insurance industry in 1972 where she worked until her retirement. She was the first female president of the Scituate Chamber of Commerce and was involved in town affairs for many years. An avid traveler, Jo many holidays years on cruise ships before falling in love with Santorini, Greece where she spent many holidays..

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7 at 10:00 at McNamara-Sparell Funeral Home, 160 South Main Street (across From St. Anthony Church), Cohasset.
