John Pasquale DeFilippo

John P. DeFilippo, 92, of Norwell, MA passed away at home on February 5, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia (Cardillo) DeFilippo.

He is also survived by his son Paul J. DeFilippo and his wife Michele of Arlington, MA, his sister Letterina DeFilippo of Soverato, Italy: and many nieces and nephews. John waws pre-deceased by his sisters Carolina Singlitico and Elisabetta Cimino.

John as born in Olivadi, Italy to the late Vito A. DeFilippo and Caterina (Papsodero) DeFilippo. He emigrated to Canada at age 19, where he became a licensed auto mechanic. At age 27, John moved to the United States, where he eventually opened his own automotive repair business in Hyde Park, MA.

John enjoyed fishing and playing cards and was a member of the Marshfield Yacht Club.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
