John V. Grigalunas, age 87, of Norwell, formerly of South Boston, passed peacefully on August 14, 2010. John was the devoted husband of Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Ardrey) of Norwell. He was the brother of the late Francis Grigas, Victor Grigalunas, Helen Sabiski, all of South Boston, and the late Al Grigalus of New York. John was the uncle of Donna Reina of Sharon, Paul Grigas of Pembroke, Elayne Laird of Georgia, Linda Purser of Alabama, Gary Grigalus of NY, Sharon Leahy of Falmouth, and Alan Sabiski of NH.

Mr. Grigalunas was a graduate of South Boston High School and served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. John was retired from Armour Meet Co. in South Boston and worked at Callahan Electro-plating Co. in Malden.

Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center.

Service Information

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 18, 2010 at 9 am in St. Helen Church, 383 Washington St. (Rt. 53), Norwell, MA. 02061.

Interment Massachusetts V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. at 1:45 pm on Wednesday.
