Celebration of Life
First Parish Church of Norwell Unitarian Universalist
Starts at 2:00 pm
John Francis Magazu, 64, of Norwell, died Sunday, December 7th after a brief hospitalization.
Born in Caribou, ME, the first son of the late Joseph and Jackie (Lawrence) Magazu, John graduated from Norwell High School in 1979. As a youth, he enjoyed high school sports, drama club, and visiting with family in Maine. John then spent many years as a union electrician as well as construction jobs up and down the East Coast. His hobbies included working on cars, carpentry, plumbing, electronics, metalworking, ropes and knots, and being out on the waters of Jacob's Pond and the North River in his canoe. A devout tinkerer and problem solver, John could often be found constructing elegant and sometimes complex solutions for the problem at hand. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to friend and stranger alike.
John leaves behind his brother Tommie Magazu of Norwell and sister Lee Magazu Brady of Cocoa, FL, nieces Robin and Ava, nephews Joseph and Kevin, and extended family, including many beloved cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on January 10th at First Parish of Norwell, Unitarian Universalist.
