John F. Powers, age 72, of Scituate, passed away on February 23, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Beverly M. (Perry) Powers of 50 years, and devoted father of Jeffrey of Hull, John of Scituate, and Jennifer Powers of Scituate. Son of the late Beatrice (Furtaw) Powers and Francis Kenneth Powers of Woburn Brother of the late Patricia Sencabaugh of Wilmington and survived by his sister Judith Golden of Woburn. Also Grandfather of MacKenzie Powers, Olivia Donovan, Samantha Powers, Caelin Powers, and Kevin Powers.

Mr. Powers was a honorary retired member of the Elevator Union, Local #4.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 from 3-7 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset.
