John Thomas Walsh, Jr., age 83, of Norwell, and Rindge, NH, passed away surrounded by family at his home on August 16, 2013. Beloved husband for 53 years of Elaine Marie (Ashworth) and devoted father of Barbara Ann Morgan and husband John of Waterford, CT., John T. Walsh, III and wife Gayle of Marshfield, Michael R. Walsh and wife Kathleen of Stony Point, NY., and William P. Walsh of Quincy. Brother of Ann M. "Nancy" Walsh of Dorchester. Adored grandfather of John and Charles Morgan of Waterford, CT., Kathryn Walsh of Marshfield, Shannon, Kristen and Matthew Walsh of Stony Point, NY.

Mr. Walsh served in the US Navy from 1948-1957, enlisting twice. He was a graduate of Boston College High School and Boston College Class of 1955. Mr. Walsh was a Certified Public Accountant in private practice

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 5-8 pm in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt. 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center. Visiting hours and Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St., Jaffrey, NH. In lieu of flowers, donation to honor Mr. Walsh may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
