November 20, 1986 — April 14, 2026

Scituate

Jonathan S. Grimm, 39, of Scituate, died suddenly on April 14, 2026, after a struggle with mental health.

Jon grew up in Cohasset and graduated from Cohasset High School and Northeastern University with a degree in business. He enjoyed a successful career in software sales, working for several companies including HubSpot in Boston and, most recently, Fluency, Inc. in Burlington, VT.

Known for his intelligence and quick wit, Jon was never at a loss for words. An enthusiastic singer and gifted writer, he was also a lover of nature and an avid photographer. His greatest passion was fishing — striped bass off the coast of Cohasset, tuna offshore, trout in streams and ponds everywhere he went. From ice fishing in New Hampshire to freshwater fishing in Italy and the Netherlands and deepwater trips in the Caribbean, Jon pursued every opportunity to be on the water. He shared that passion and his considerable skill with anglers young and old.

At the heart of his character, Jon loved bringing people together. He deeply valued family and loyal friendships. Confident, charismatic, and sensitive, he thrived on making others laugh and feel cared for. Fiercely independent and true to himself, Jon could always be counted on to help others. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Burke; his parents, William Grimm and Deborah Shadd of Cohasset; his sister, Kate Fulk, her husband Mackenzie Fulk, and their children Ellery and Beau of Darien, CT; and his brother Michael Grimm, his wife Lacey Grimm, and their children Bennett and Aubrey of Maynard, MA.

A celebration of Jon’s life will take place at The Mill Wharf - 23 Mill Wharf Plaza, Scituate, MA 02066 - on May 2nd, 2026, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jon’s memory may be made to Movember Men’s Health Suicide Prevention https://us.movember.com/mens-health/suicide-prevention.
