IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph E.
Mccabe, Jr.
April 25, 1955 – June 15, 2023
Joseph E. McCabe, Jr., age 68, of Scituate, Humarock, formerly of Winchester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on June 15, 2023. Joe was the beloved husband of Victoria J. King of Scituate and the devoted father of Aislinn McCabe of Charleston, SC and Melanie Roake and her husband Barrett of Scituate. Grampa Joe loved spending time with his grandchildren Forrest and Finn of Scituate. Son of the late Joseph E. and Lillian McCabe. Brother of Robert McCabe and wife Lucille of Woburn, John McCabe and wife Lisa of Woburn, Stephen Gentile of Hampton Beach, Melissa McCabe of Seabrooke, and the late Isabelle M. McCabe and the late Matthew McCabe. Son in law of June King of Scituate. Also survived by many nieces and nephews from the McCabe and King Family.
Joe worked diligently for over 42 years for the Railroad retiring as Signal Master. His joy and passion was found in the sea where he was USCG 10 Ton Captain, working on Charter Boats as a Captain and First Mate. He loved lobstering and fishing and he made sure to share that love with his two daughters and grandchildren. Every summer was spent going out on the boat with his two daughters and wife, listening to the same boat CD that his two daughters made him. Joe had deep summer roots in Humarock and Scituate Harbor, and was often known as Mako Joe.
