Katherine B. "Kitty" (Ohl) Whitley of Cohasset, MA, died on February 16, 2015. She was born in Boston, on September 7, 1935, the daughter of Edwin N. and Harriet H. Ohl. She attended the Madeira School in Virginia and graduated from Boston University in 1959. She taught for many years in Cohasset and as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malaysia and Fiji.
She was the beloved wife of Roger S. Whitley and the mother of Sarah W. Ferguson of Princeton, NJ, and Alison F. Whitley of New Britain, CT. She leaves her sister Anstiss C. Miller of Melbourne, FL, and her brothers Michael Ohl of Denver, CO, Charles B. Ohl of Glen, NH, and Edwin Ohl of Washington, DC, along with two grandchildren, Andrew D. Ferguson of Sydney, Australia, and Martha W. Ferguson of San Francisco, CA, and her cousin Harriet H. Nicol of Pomona, NY. She was predeceased by her cousin Moses Williams.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 16 Highland Avenue, Cohasset, MA 02025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Stephen's Church (memo: Outreach Ministry), or to the Paul Pratt Memorial Library, 35 Ripley Road, Cohasset, MA 02025.
