Katherine M. Travers, age 80, of Scituate, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully after a 40 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was the sister of Patricia Turner and sister-in-law of John "Jack" Turner of Scituate. She was a former member of the Women's Club of Boston, The Neighborhood Club of Quincy, The Longwood Tennis Club and the Minot Beach Association as well as the Ace of Clubs. Katherine was a retired employee of the Boston Edison Company.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours 9:30 am to 11am Saturday, Jan 5, 2013 in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Katherine may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave., Waltham, MA. 02451.
