Kathleen P. McLarey of Norwell, MA sadly passed away on January 23, 2025.

Kathleen was born in Boston, MA on March 5, 1943 to Robert J. O'Donnell and Nancy A. O'Donnell and raised in Norwell.

After graduating Norwell High School in 1961, she went on to graduate from Chandler School for Women in 1963.

Kathy was selected as the Boston Rose in the Rose of Tralee International Festival in Ireland in 1966.

During that time, she enjoyed skiing with the Makusue Ski Club in NH and traveling. Wherever she went, she developed life-long friendships.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Henry W. McLarey and their daughters, Jennifer Mitchell and her husband Robert of Duxbury, and Patricia Ayers and her husband Steven of Norwell, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Hadley Mitchell and Nora & Nolan Ayers.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents as well as her siblings Robert J. O'Donnell Jr., Esq., J. Paul O'Donnell and Marilyn J. Kelly.

In addition to raising her children, Kathy was employed as a paralegal, travel agent and Delta Airlines associate. Though, she always said the best job was being a mother.

She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing the guitar, singing with St. Helen's Church choir, as well as spending time in Pocasset with her family.

She was never afraid to try something new and always continued learning.

Known for her clever wit, sense of humor, positivity and unwavering love for her family, Kathleen will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Visiting hours will be held on February 7, 2025 at Resurrection Church, 1057 Main St., Hingham, MA from 9:30-10:30 AM.

Funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM.

Interment will be private at a later date.
