Kathleen Veronica (Peters) Dwyer, age 96, a resident of Cohasset for 32 years, formerly of Mattapan and Hingham, died peacefully Monday March 21, 2016 at the Harborview Center in Cohasset. Wife of 56 years to the late John R. Dwyer. She is survived by her son, John R. Dwyer Jr. of Cohasset, a brother, Donald Peters of Stoughton, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 3 brothers, John, Edward, and Gerald Peters.

Born and raised in Dorchester, she attended St. Peter's School and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Class of 1937. She went to clerical school and held several secretarial positions, including Mass. Division of Employment Securities. Kathleen enjoyed cooking, traveling, walking, swimming, crossword puzzles, and was an avid bowler. She was a devout Catholic, and belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America. Kathleen was also a volunteer school librarian and CCD Teacher.

Visiting hour Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 9am-10am in McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 160 So. Main St. (across from St. Anthony Church), Cohasset, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Cohasset. Interment Milton Cemetery, Milton, MA.
