Kathryn Rosalie Hager passed away peacefully at the age of 92 in her Norwell home Saturday, June 25. Born in Quincy in 1918, she was the oldest of seven siblings to parents Christopher Joseph McDermott and Josephine Maria McDermott of Quincy. She was married for 65 years to Carl Eric Oscar Hager, who died in 2006. She is survived by her three children, Carl Eric Hager of Washington DC, Rodney James Hager of Wayland, MA, and Christopher Alfred Hager of Norwell, MA. She was the beloved grandmother of Elizabeth McDermott Finley of Washington DC and Nicholas (Cole) Richard Hager, Shane Carl Hager and Chloe Christina Hager, all of Norwell, MA. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Kathryn Virginia Finley and Jane Margaret Finley of Washington DC.
A graveside service will be held at First Parish Cemetery on Thursday, June 30 at 11 a.m. Donations may be made in her name to the Joslin Diabetes Center.
