Kevin J. Smith Smith, age 81, of Norwell, passed away on December 2, 2021 following a brief illness. Loving husband of the late Mary Lou (McCarthy) Smith, son of the late Edmund L. and Mary (Guidetti) Smith. and brother of the late Edmund L. Smith Jr.  He is survived by his brother Shawn Smith and wife Mary of Kensington, NH.  Also survived by several cousins, his niece Maureen Keillor and husband Howard of Fayetteville, GA, and his nephews, Michael Smith of Belmont, MA, Peter Smith and wife Mary of North Easton, MA, Shawn Smith Jr. and wife Carolyn of Rowley, MA, and Jeffrey Smith and wife Laura of Boxford, MA. as well as several great-nephews and nieces.

Kevin was a graduate of Whitman High School and attended Burdett College of Business.  He was employed nearly 50 years for the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind. After retiring, he and Mary Lou enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends.  He also volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels for the Norwell Council on Aging.  Of recent years he found great pleasure in feeding and observing his array of wild birds and other wildlife.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kevin's life during a Funeral Service to be held in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 123, near State Police Barracks), Norwell Center, MA. 02061 on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:30 am followed by Interment Stetson Meadows Cemetery, Norwell.
