Obituary

Lance Norris, age 61 of Falmouth, Ma., formerly Cohasset , Ma. passed away in the arms of his loving wife on December 10, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lance entertained thousands of people for over 20 years as The Bitter Man of the Boston radio scene. He served his biting wit on BCN's Charles Laquidara Big Mattress morning show as well as WZLX. He was a prolific musician and songwriter first with "America's Greatest Garage Band" The Stools, and later as Lance Norris and The Dog Track Gravy. If you haven't heard his voice, you have certainly seen his face as a staple in the Boston film and television scene. He infamously shattered his knee while performing stunt work on the set of The Mouse. This injury caused a life-long disability but led him to the love of his life, Amy. Lance considered himself a "country gentleman" of the South Shore where he and Amy raised their six children: Savanna and her husband Jeremy of North Carolina, Ray of Waltham, Dylan, Nicole, Jake and Logan of Falmouth. He was also the proud grandfather of Leander and Lyra. Lance and Amy's love and friendship was one-of-a-kind. Their incredible marriage laid the foundation for the large, loving family he leaves behind. Despite his misanthropic nature, Lance was well-loved by family, friends, and fans. His presence, his passion, and his humor, will be deeply missed.

Lance's family will hold a celebration of his life in the spring of 2024.
